the w/end before our last meeting we had another Saturday workshop with Chris,Bob & Gerry. This time there were only 10 members taking part & I got the impression that you enjoyed it with not so many taking part.As usual everyone seemed very busy & Bob was also kept busy carving outside.(once again we were lucky with the weather)I hope you enjoyed the buffet.
Sunday 6th May was the Wessex show-The 2 clives & I helped on the Salisbury stand (Warminster were not invited to show this year)
Like the Swindon show this show has grown over the years.Once again there were a lot of Wessex members trees on show & in the competition.Congratulations to Tony Oswin who won a collection of 1st,2nd & 3rd prizes!
Yet again the trees on display were of a high standard. As Lee was one of the traders there I of course got tempted & bought a small group of maples!
It was nice to see some Warminster members there
Perhaps if the Warminster are good we might be invited to show next year!
Clive has put photos of the workshop on the web,so do have a look at it.

Next meeting

Our next meeting is at 7:45 on 17th May in Christ Church hall, the evening will be a general workshop so bring in your trees to practice or work on and of course don’t forget something for the raffle.

See you all at the next meeting
