We put on a display last year and thought the public response was very good so we again entered this year.
We entered our club display at the now annual Roots Bonsai show hosted by Newbury Bonsai club, as you will see it was well supported by other bonsai clubs and societys, we were fortunate to be opposite Lee Verhorevoorts stand ( I use these words conservatively as my wife is drawn to his stand wherever we see him).
Here are some views of both our club and other clubs who displayed at the show.
Again Warminster club was able to put on a display at Swindon Bonsai Winter Image show.
As most of you will know we put on a display at the Frome Agricultural and Cheese show with the intention of displaying mainly trees which are fairly easy to find not too costly and require not much intense training to develop into bonsai.
The Wiltshire branch of the British Cactus & Succulent Society held their annual show in the Melksham assembly rooms, and we were again invited to put on a display.
We have had a long time to prepare for this year it all started when I as normal said something I shouldn’t of, we then ended up visiting lots of people and looking at and taking lots pictures of lots of trees trying to get the right image for the show.
We now look on the Swindon show as the opener for the new bonsai year a chance to meet friends and dealers we have not seen over the winter.
On Sunday 4th November Clive H myself and Sandra travelled up to Heathrow to put on a club display in the Heathrow Bonsai show, the weather was atrocious going up raining all the way, marquees had been put up but the rain was being driven in through any gap onto the tables so it was decided not to use our backdrops and cloths.
