Lee Verhorevoort workshop 2019

We always enjoy a workshop with Lee not only do you get a chance to have expert advice on your own trees but just listening to his comments on other members trees you learn so much. Most of us have learned that if your tree requires wiring do it before the workshop and as Lee circulates round shall I say briskly you don’t hang about working on you trees.

Collette Harrison

For the July meeting we Collette Harrison from Bonsai Trees Southampton who gave a talk on Satsuki and other flowering species.

The talk covered a wide variety of flowering species both indoor and outdoor types on their care and maintenance, the feed back from some members was extremely good and all enjoyed Collettes evening.

Blackmore Vale show

Blackmore Vale Bonsai group held their annual show end of June to which local clubs were invited, the show was well attended and remained busy throughout the day.

We enjoyed ourselves and congratulations to Staverton Bonsai Group for winning best club display well earned. Congratulations to Ian Duff winner of best tree in show.
